January Is Dog License Renewal Time In Brick

Licenses can be renewed in person or by mail, but proof of rabies vaccination extending past Nov. 1 is necessary.

BRICK, NJ -- The turn of the calendar to January means it’s time to renew your dog and cat licenses in Brick Township.

Licenses are required for any dog or cat that is 7 months old or older. A certificate of rabies vaccination must be presented as well as a signed statement from a licensed veterinarian saying your dog or cat has been spayed or neutered, if it has been.

Licenses may be obtained either by mail or at the Municipal Building, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The clerk’s office accepts credit card (no Amex), cash or check payable to the “Township of Brick”, please.

If requesting by mail, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

You can purchase a one-year or a three-year license.

For a one-year license, the fee is $10 if your animal has been spayed or neutered, $13 if it has not been and you must show proof that the rabies vaccination is valid until at least Nov. 1,

For a three-year license, the fee is $26 for a spayed or neutered animal, $35 if the animal has not been spayed or neutered, and the rabies vaccination must be valid until Nov. 1, 2018.

Licenses must be purchased by Jan. 31, or a late fee of $1 per month applies.
